We had 47 student-athletes log on to PLT4M this past week, which is one less from last week’s number.    Of those 47 who logged a workout on PLT4M last week, 30 were on multiple times.  Our perfect attendance list only had 6 student-athletes who made it six times: Kenzie Bowers, Lexie Bowers, Kierra Flegel, Alyssa

Committed to Excellence — Connecting with Payton Oliver

Today we are going to check in with freshman Payton Oliver.   Oliver wrestles and plays baseball for Kent City.   This past winter, Oliver and the Eagles won their fourth consecutive CSAA Silver championship.   In the spring, Oliver was looking forward to playing on the junior varsity baseball team. 1. Today we are going to check in with freshman Justin Mack.  Mack plays two sports at Kent City, wrestling in the winter and baseball in the spring.  This past year, Mack helped the varsity wrestling team capture their fourth consecutive CSAA Silver championship.  In the spring Mack was planning on playing baseball for the Eagles.

Today we are going to check in with junior Bradley Brooks.  Brooks plays football and wrestles for the Eagles.   This past fall, Brooks worked his way into a starting position at defensive back, grabbing two interceptions in two separate games.  In fact, his two interceptions against Grand Rapids Northpointe Christian were key to Kent City’s

Kent City has surely seen its share of success over the past 20 years in athletics with 85 Conference championships, 43 District championships, 14 Regional championships, three State runner-up performances, and one State championship.   We have seen thousands of student-athletes come and go during those 20 years and we are thankful for all of them.
