This week we are officially headed into our winter sports season with the varsity boys basketball team kicking off the 2018-2019 season on Tuesday at Orchard View.  A change in 2018-2019, boys’ basketball will start their season ahead of girls basketball because of scheduling conflicts with the Breslin Center for the state finals in March.

Kent City Winter All-Conference Athletes 2017-2018

On Tuesday, we took a moment to celebrate the many achievements of our winter student-athletes at Kent City High School.  Varsity Bowling,Varsity Boys Basketball, Varsity Girls Basketball, and Varsity Wrestling had 18 student-athletes earn All-Conference honors during the winter of 2017-2018.  Three teams earned CSAA Silver titles this winter: boys basketball, girls basketball, and wrestling.

Mason McVicker finishes in 27th place at MHSAA State Finals

On Saturday, Mason McVicker was at M-66 Lanes in Battle Creek for the MHSAA State Finals.  The junior got off to a slow start in his first two games, but came on strong in the last four games.   At the end of the qualifying rounds McVicker’s total of 1,059 which was good enough for 27th
