Kent City Athletic Weekly 6-3 — 6-8

It should come as no surprise that the weather cancelled games on Saturday and pushed our schedule into another week. This year’s weather as a whole has been anything but cooperative. Every season (fall, winter, spring) has seen cancellations due to weather. The weather has not stopped us from having a great year though. There

MS Track Finishes With Five School Records

The middle school girls track and field team lost to only 4 teams all season long. The boy’s team was undefeated in all competition. It was no surprise that this talented group finished the season as MEGASTAR Meet Runner-Up (girls) and MEGASTAR Meet Champions (boys). Kent City Athletic Weekly 5-13 — 5-18

I want to wish all of the moms out there a happy Mother’s Day.   Nobody plays a bigger role in the world of athletics than mom’s.   I know I owe my love of sports to my own mom.  Not only did she support me and my sisters in all of our athletic endeavors, she also

Success for KCMS Track at Windy Lakeview

The Kent City middle school track teams traveled to Lakeview Wednesday afternoon for a double dual meet against Hesperia and Lakeview. Despite having to fight the wind, both the boy’s and girl’s teams continued their success on the season going 2-0 on the night. The boys team beat Hesperia 124-24 and beat Lakeview 119-17. The

Kent City Athletic Weekly 5-6 — 5-11

On Friday morning, we had some visitors at Kent City Community Schools.  While preparing our fields for play, Tim Parmeter came across five sand hill cranes in the grass behind the home stand at Ward Memorial Field.   When I saw this, I thought maybe it was a sign of favorable weather for the remainder of
