When we look back on 2017-2018, it will be viewed as a record breaking year.  The varsity football team set a school record for wins in a season (10), finished the regular season undefeated for the first time in school history, and made the MHSAA playoffs for the 2nd consecutive season.   In cross country, Lauren

With the school year quickly coming to a close, many of our sports teams are in the final stages of their seasons.   Even though many will remember this past spring for the weather, it truly has been a very successful spring for our athletic teams.  We have certainly not “arrived,”  but this past week was

In their final CSAA double dual of the season, the middle school track and field teams made the short trip to Grant where they faced off with the Tigers and Vikings (Tri-County).   The girls team was up to the task, pounding both schools: Kent City 110 Tri-County 25 and Kent City 106 Grant 30.  On

MS Track and Field Shine at White Cloud Invitational

The Eagles could not have asked for better weather at the White Cloud Invitational. Despite being windy in Kent City, the track at White Cloud was positioned in such a way that the wind was not as hindering as it could have been. Although there was no team score, the Eagles took home a heavy

MS T&F at Morley Stanwood Ends Victoriously

It was yet another successful night at the track for the Eagles. Both the boys and girls team defeated the Mohawks with a score of 105-31 and 92-42 respectfully. Kent City Athletic Weekly — 4-30 — 5-5

I have to admit, I have been something of a hypocrite the past two weeks when composing the athletic weekly.   You see, a lot of my time is spent trying to get our students, student-athletes, and even my own children to avoid complaining about the things that are out of their control.  Last week it
