Kent City Spring All-Conference Athletes 2017

On Tuesday, we took a moment to celebrate the many achievements of our spring student-athletes at Kent City High School.  The varsity girls track and field team finished the season as conference champions, while the varsity boys track and field team and the varsity softball team finished as conference runner-up.  In total, the Eagles had

Kent City Athletic Weekly 5-29 — 6-3

This may be the final week for Kent City Athletics for the 2016-2017 school year, although I am confident it won’t be.  One thing is for sure, the track and field team will be done with their season on Saturday at Comstock Park.  The other teams must keep wining (or finishing near the top) to

It was a beautiful day for soccer at Lamar Park on Tuesday. Mostly sunny. Mostly warm. And mostly good play for KCMS Girls Soccer. After playing Wyoming JH black to a 1-1 tie earlier in the season, the Eagles returned to Lamar Park to face the Wyoming JH purple squad hoping for a better result.

Kent City Athletic Weekly 5-8 — 5-13

As predicted, Tuesday was nearly a complete wash-out (with the exception of golf), but we were able to get all of the scheduled contests in or rescheduled.  I had the opportunity to be with the golf team on Tuesday at their CSAA jamboree at Moss Ridge.  It is pretty amazing to watch the inter-workings of

Victory at Last — Kent City 4 Allendale 3

After three ties and two losses to start the season, our MS girls were hungry for a victory as they faced Allendale in Thursday home soccer action. What they found was a back and forth challenge that was not decided until the final minutes. The Eagle offense started in high gear maintaining possession in their
