Varsity Softball Goes 2-2 in Non-Conference Action

The Varsity Softball team finally were able to play some non-conference opponents AND get in a scaled-down version of our “Neighborhood” tournament. Friday night was black & blue night as we faced off against Sparta and Ravenna in the Kubasiak Neighborhood Tournament. It was a beautiful night at the beautiful Art Van Complex in Rockford.

Varsity golf finishes season at Willow Wood GC

The Kent City Eagle Red uniforms were abundant and  dominant at the Mitchell Creek All-Star Meet in Big Rapids Friday night.  The Eagles won seven of the seventeen events.  For her contributions, Lauren Freeland earned “Female Athlete of the Meet” at it’s conclusion. Weeks Wins Coaches Pick For “Boy Athlete of the Meet” at the Meet of Champions in Big Rapids; Several Earn All-Area Honors

Tonight at the Mitchell Creek Meet of Champions, several Eagles earned All-Area based on their performances, however, Gio Weeks stole the show by being picked the Male Athlete of the Meet by the coaches in attendance.  Gio won three events 100m, 200m, LJ and was on the 2nd place 400m relay team!  Our All -Area performances are:  1st Place – 3200m

Kubasiak Neighborhood Tournament tonight at Art Van Sports Complex

On the first Saturday after Spring Break, Mother Nature played a late April Fool’s joke on spring sports in Michigan, causing a wave of cancellations that we are just now catching up with.  One of the events that fell victim to the unseasonable ice storms was the 4th Annual Kubasiak Neighborhood Baseball and Softball Tournaments. 

JV Boys Baseball Team Ends Season With A Perfect 19-0 Record!!

The JV Boys Baseball team finished their perfect season on Tuesday against White Cloud at home in a DH contest.  The Eagles won the first game 8-5 and the second game 2-0 both in 7 inning games.  In the first game the Eagles had 11 hits and 2 walks as they took a 7-1 lead
