Kent City’s JV boys basketball team traveled to White Cloud and got their 3rd win this season Thursday. We started strong scoring the first 8 points of the game. However, White Cloud would not go away as they went on am 8-2 run to end the quarter. The second quarter was our best on the night. We moved the ball well offensively¬† scoring 17 points. We also played great defense to take the lead into halftime 27-17. Coming out of halftime White Cloud would not go away. They went on a 16-2 run in the third quarter taking a 4 point lead heading the the fourth. Overcoming adversity, we started playing better on the offensive end eventually tying the game at 38-38. William duran would hit a three on an out of bounds play giving us a 3 point lead. Making free throws down the stretch allowed us to come away with the win 43-40. Leading the Eagles in scoring was Will Harrison and William Duran with 11, Seth Vanderwest added 10, Josh Anderson had 8, Arin Sarres with 2, and Zach Devoogd with 1.
