Eagles News · Kent City Athletic Weekly 11-9 — 11-14

Winter sports are officially here with the junior varsity and varsity girls basketball teams starting practice on Monday.   Next week, the freshman, junior varsity, and varsity boys basketball, the varsity wrestling, and varsity boys and girls bowling teams will also start practices.   We are delighted that we are getting the seasons started and will do whatever it takes to keep our student-athletes in school and on the court/mat/lanes!

Our final report on fall sports comes with some great success stories.   The varsity girls cross country team finished in 12th place on Saturday at MIS in this year’s cross country state finals.   Senior Layla Martini paced the Eagles with an 11th place finish, her third All-State finish.   Junior Alyeska Linsely also earned all-state honors (her first time) by finishing in 28th place.

Stay tuned as we post our schedules for the winter seasons.   Many are still being worked out due to changes that COVID-19 have brought about.  We will keep you posted on what we have and the changes that are all but a guarantee to happen as we move into the winter months.
