Eagles News · JV volleyball starts off the season with 4 wins

The JV volleyball started off their season last week Thursday at Orchard View in quad action.  Starting the night off with a tough Montague team, the girls struggled to get anything going in the first game and lost 13-25.  After the first game jitters the second and third games were a different story with scores of 26-24 and 15-12 to secure their first of three victories on the night.  The second game was a well rounded win again Shelby 25-18 and 25-12.  The last game of the night was against the host school Orchard View and the girls dominated winning both games 25-5.

The team then traveled to Kelloggsville Tuesday night for a Tri match.   In the  opener the Eagles defeated the hosts Kelloggsville, 25-13 and 25-18.  The second game against Algoma Christian the girls struggled with the Knights offense in the first game and lost 15-25.  After regrouping, the second game went to the Eagles 25-18 pushing to a third set.  The third set the ladies fell just short losing 9-15.  The team is now 4-1 on the young season and looking forward to starting league play this Wednesday at Holton.
