On Thursday (9/10), Kent City’s girls golf team took advantage of its home course and rode a strong back nine to a solid 3rd place finish in CSAA action. The team’s total of 412 is now the new standard – as this is the lowest team score in the program’s 4 year history. The team’s goals of breaking 400 and finishing no worse than third in the conference are within reach. Leading the charge was junior Michelle Carr, who carded an impressive 90 on the day (4th place individual finish). Supporting her were teammates Peytin Brake (106); Kierston Moorman (107); and Madison Hudson (109). Way to go girls! The team is in action again on Tuesday as it looks to conquer the extremely challenging Stonegate Course in Holton.
