On Monday, Kent City’s girls golf team competed in the regional at the very challenging Mines Golf Course in Grand Rapids. Although the team did not advance to the state tournament, the girls showed great determination throughout the day. The team total for the day was 463, one of the season’s best! Leading the charge for the Eagles was senior Joan Carr, who fired a 103. Following closely behind was sophomore sister Michelle Carr, who carded a 107. Wrapping up the scoring were freshman phenom Madi Hudson (126) and much-improved junior, Madelyn Watson (127). Great job girls. The team will wrap up its season on Friday when it completes the delayed CSAA conference tournament at the Falls.
