Eagles News · Kolehouse and Krueger With Back to Back Jacks! 11-0 Win

The varsity softball team started a long week the right way with a dominating win at White Cloud, 11-0.  The Eagles easily handled the Indians who had frustrated them in their three previous games.  KC finishes 3-1 against them on the season.  The team is hitting its stride in all facets of the game.  Two base running highlights include Alyssa Larson executing a perfect suicide squeeze bunt as Janelle Krueger stole home.  Samara Kolehouse and Krueger were also heads up when they both tagged up and advanced a base on a caught pop foul behind home plate.  Defensively, the team was fantastic once again, committing zero errors!  Larson was once again money in the circle, striking out 9 and only walking 1.

The story of the night was the Eagles’ performance at the plate though.  The team ripped 13 total hits in an amazing display of hitting.  Samara Kolehouse entered the home run club with a long solo shot to deep center field.  She finished the game just a triple short of hitting for the cycle!  The very next hitter, Janelle Krueger, followed up with another solo shot of her own.  Mackenzie Mortensen added three hits of her own with two singles and one double.

The team will travel to conference-leading Holton for a crucial double header tomorrow starting at 4.
