Eagles News · 7th Grade Girls Basketball Team Beat White Cloud 39 to 4


The 7th grade girls basketball team played White Cloud tonight at home. They continued their undefeated record bringing them to 9-0 on the season.

The girls started the game out with a 15 to 0 run, holding the Indians scoreless. They played aggressive defense in the half court making it hard for White Cloud to run their offense. This lead to multiple fast break points for the Eagles. Denyle Bonter ran the court well for Kent City scoring 6 points in the second quarter from fast breaks. The Eagles had 18 steals on the night. Leading in these steals were Denyle Bonter with 5, Maddie Geers with 4, and Delaney Bonter with 3.

Kent City struggled on the boards, but turned up the intensity in the second half. Maddie Geers finished the game with 15 rebounds, while Denyle Bonter had 7. The Eagles ended the game with a 39 to 4 victory. Maddie Geers had 23 points.
