The JV Boys Baseball team continued to win beating Lakeview last night in both games of a DH 18-0, then 18-0 once again. The Eagles took control early in both games and never looked back as the first game ended 18-0 after 4 innings, and the second game was over after 2 innings 18-0. In the first game Brendan Boyd pitched the 1st inning using 18 pitches, then Aaron Rich pitched the next 2 innings using 31 pitches and Lane Dailey the 4th and final inning using 10 pitches. Jared Lucht did a great job behind the plate. The Eagles pounded out 10 hits to go along with 8 walks. Leading hitters were: Aaron Rich with 3, Will Wright and Brendan Boyd with 2 each, and Jared Lucht, Lane Dailey and Bryant Fahling each with 1 hit. In the second game the Eagles scored 17 runs in the top of the first inning which took about 40 minutes to complete. They scored 1 more in the second inning to win 18-0, as the game was called after 2 innings. Aiden Sarres threw 16 pitches in the first inning, and Paul Yates used 7 pitches to finish the 2nd and final inning which included an unassisted double play by Shawn Anderson playing first base. Aaron Rich did a nice job behind the plate for the second game. The Eagles had 12 hits to go along with 12 walks in the contest. Leading hitters were: Brendan Boyd with 4 hits(went 4-4), Jared Lucht and Paul Yates each with 2 hits, Aaron Rich, Shawn Anderson, Lane Dailey and Will Wright each added 1 hit. Great team effort on the day as the team reached 15 wins on the season. The Eagles play home today against Hesperia in a DH at 4pm.
