Not only were the KC varsity girls smart and successful on the court with their 22-4 season and trip to the quarterfinals, they were high achievers in the classroom as well. Kent City teams historically hover around the 7th -12th spots on academic all-state rankings. This year, just like on the court, the girls took it to another level. They had the 4th highest grade-point average in Class C and ranked 6th overall out of all of the classes with an outstanding 3.914 team GPA. Although Pewamo-Westphalia beat the Eagles in their quarterfinal matchup last month, you may notice that Kent City finished ahead of the Pirates academically.
