The bowling team headed to Northfield lanes to take on the Grand Rapids Northpointe Christian on Wednesday. The boys struggled with the lanes, getting their first peak at the Allen Pattern in 2017-2018. As a result, Kent City was only able to come away with a tie, 15 to 15. The high game of the day was Joel Ignasiak with a 196. Wednesday’s tie puts Kent City’s record at 5-1-1 on the season.
The girls team also did a good job on the lanes. Evie Barkel bowled her two high games of the year with a 123 and 105. The Eagles have a bye this weekend, but will spend time preparing for next week’s matches with Tri-County at the Alley Cat. Kent City’s Boys team is currently tied for 1st place in the CSAA Bronze with Fremont, both with 3-1 records.
