The Varsity Volleyball team took on Lakeview on Tuesday night. The team wore their pink jerseys that they wore for their tournament and the fans were dressed in pink as well. The Lady Eagles started out strong on the night and took the first two sets from them by scores of 25-19, 25-20. The eagles lost momentum and their strong play in the next two sets and lost those by scores of 23-25, 22-25. This would put the Eagles in their first 5 set match of the season. The Lady Eagles would start out on top and never looked back winning the final set 15-11. Every Eagle was a big contributor to the win. Leading the offense was Alyssa Hartzell and Janelle Krueger with 17 and 15 assists respectively. Holly Kosak finished the night with 9 kills, Anna Braford with 8 kills and Paula Roberts with 7 kills. Janelle Krueger led the defense with 2 blocks at the net and 41 digs on the night. Great job ladies!!
Thank you to the fans who came out and showed your support to these hard working Lady Eagles.
Congratulations to the volleyball program for raising over $4,500 this year so far for the Side-Out Foundation, which brings their grand total to over $50,000 raised in the last 8 seasons.
Your Eagles will be back in action on Monday night at home in a quad against Fremont, Spring Lake and Tri-County.
