Multiple Teams · Kent City Student Section gets in the holiday spirit!

After a grassroots effort by Coach Scott Carlson, the Kent City Student Section is beginning to grow.  At Tuesday night’s Varsity Girls Basketball Game, Santa Claus and a number of great Christmas sweaters were in the Nest for the 62-44 win.  Not only did they dress for the occasion, they also were very involved throughout the night.  They cheered, they sang, they danced, and all around, had a great time supporting their fellow students.

This has not been the first showing of support by this growing group, we had a large turn-out for our Wrestling Quad last week as well as the Varsity Girls/Boys Basketball games vs. Hesperia.   In fact we can trace the beginnings back to the Varsity Volleyball team’s CSAA clinching victory over Morley Stanwood back in late October.

Help us by encouraging students to join us in the the student section at our next event when we come back from break.  We will continue to publicize special theme nights and upcoming events as we are working to support all of our Varsity Teams and student groups within the school.  I can promise that no student will look back on their high school years and regret the time they spent cheering and having fun in the student section.  It is also a safe bet that our teams or clubs will be happy with the added support and enthusiasm by the their classmates!
